Barcelona watched three Spurs players in Liverpool game
Sporting director Robert Fernandez has, according to Mundo Deportivo, been personally watching a number of Blaugrana targets, and Eriksen was the latest as Spurs murdered Liverpool 4-1. Among the other names, MD claim that the Catalans were watching Davinson Sanchez and Dele Alli.
Fernandez had already watched Eriksen and team-mate Harry Kane on Tuesday as the North Londoners impressed in Champions League action against Real Madrid.
Barcelona are still looking to spend what is left of that 222 million which came from Neymar’s transfer to PSG.
Eriksen was already linked to the Catalans this summer, but reminded interviewers that he wanted to stay in London.
“I like living in London. I wouldn’t have extended my contract if I didn’t,” he said. “Even now you always see something new when you go into London; little shops popping up. The family have been here enough so I don’t need to show them around anymore. Playing for Spurs is special. I was saying to my girlfriend on holiday that I’d just realised it is going to be my fifth season here and it’s gone so quick."
The 25-year-old scored eight goals and made fifteen assists in Premier League action last season.
