Baldissoni admits AS Roma could move to a smaller stadium before the building of a new one

AS Roma GM Mauro Baldissoni has admitted that the club’s chiefs are considering moving the team’s home game to a smaller stadium before the building of a new one.

Here’s what he told Roma Radio during a Saturday morning interview: “We could decide to move in a more ‘accessible’ stadium. If attendance figures keep lowering, we should move to a smaller stadium. We were fined several times in the first two home games due to fans obstructing security exits. We’ll put more security inside the Curvas to avoid these problems.”

“We hope it is not necessary, but we could move to a smaller stadium, we were discussing it with Spalletti after the Porto clash in Portugal. The Olimpico is our stadium, but we want to return to normality restoring passion and serenity, we want to eliminate barriers, there won’t be any of those in the new stadium.”
