Arsenal ahead of Juventus in race to sign €30m Monaco star

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Monaco star Thomas Lemar, according to a report of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calcionews24). The Frenchs starlet is one of the most interesting prospects in Europe and after a stunning 2016/17 campaign he has attracted the interest of several top clubs.

Juventus are looking to strengthen their attacking department and are being linked with signing several top-class wingers. The Serie A giants are in advanced talks to sign Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa and have also shortlisted Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi as a possible attacking reinforcement.

Reports in Italy, however, claim the Old Lady has also made contact to sign Lemar who, however, costs € 30 million. Arsenal are leading the race to sign him and the Gunners are another obstacle in Juventus' path to sign the 21-year-old. Lemar scored 14 goals and registered 17 assists in 55 appearances in all competitions during the 2016/17 campaign.
