AC Milan reject Chelsea’s € 35 million bid for Romagnoli

Chelsea are desperate to sign a new centre-back in the current transfer window and after making offers for both Giorgio Chiellini and Kalidou Koulibaly, they have also made an attempt for AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.

According to Sky Italia, Conte has offered the rossoneri € 35 million for the 21-year-old defender who joined the San Siro outfit last term in a € 25 million deal.

AC Milan are desperate to rack up fresh cash to finance their transfer market but they have refused Chelsea’s offer as they consider Romagnoli unsellable.

The rossoneri had been rumoured to be open to sell either Carlos Bacca or Mattia De Sciglio for a similar fee, but are not going not sell one of the most promising defenders of the Italian football panorama.

Montella is already short of options in centre defence with Cristian Zapata who is injured and Gabriel Paletta who will be suspended for the next Serie A clash against Napoli.
