AC Milan, Berlusconi wants € 100m more to delay the closing date

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is going to demand € 100 million to potential club’s buyers Sino-Europe if they want to delay the date of the club’s takeover, which has been announced on the 13th of December.

The Chinese consortium has already paid a deposit of € 100 million, but the Italian business man is going to ask them as much if they fail to complete the club’s acquisition by mid December, Il Corriere della Sera reports.

Two different shareholders’ meeting have been scheduled on the 2nd and on the 13th of December and the Chinese consortium is expected to finalize the deal during the second meeting.

Trouble is, for some reasons, Sino-Europe seem not ready to close the agreement on that date. According to some reports, the only problem of Sino-Europe is the Chinese bureaucracy as the government has yet to give them all the authorization needed to finalize the deal. Some other reports claim that Sino-Europe still doesn’t have economic guarantees to finalize the club’s acquisition.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, the Chinese consortium will ask Berlusconi to postpone the closing date by several weeks and Berlusconi is reportedly ready to meet their request in exchange of € 100 million.
